I Protettori dei vigneti (Protectors of the Vineyards) is a dance track created to accompany an allegorical float during the 2026 Carnival celebrations.

Inspired by the float's theme, the song tells the story of symbolic guardians who watch over the vineyards and the land.

BEHIND THE SONG

How it began.

“Protettori dei vigneti” was created for the 2026 Carnival celebrations to accompany an allegorical float inspired by the protection of vineyards.

The idea was to make a song that would be more than background music. I wanted it to become part of the parade itself, with an engaging rhythm and a chorus that people could easily recognise and sing along to.

The float's theme gave me the opportunity to celebrate something deeply connected to our region: the land, its vineyards, and the work involved in cultivating them. Since it was Carnival, I approached the subject in a festive way, imagining a group of guardians watching over the vineyards and becoming the central characters of the celebration.

I built the lyrics around recurring phrases and a simple message: standing together, being present, and protecting what matters to us.

This is a song meant to be experienced among people, with loud music and all the energy of a Carnival parade. Knowing that it actually accompanied a float during Carnival 2026 makes it particularly meaningful to me, because it's one of those tracks that found a life beyond the studio.
