DIETRO IL BRANO

Come è nato.

Con “Bass Command” volevo fare una cosa molto semplice: un pezzo dance che facesse venire voglia di ballare fin dai primi secondi.

Non cercavo una storia da raccontare o un significato particolare da nascondere tra le parole. Volevo che fosse il ritmo a guidare tutto, con una linea di basso importante e un'energia capace di mantenersi dall'inizio alla fine.

Mi piace lavorare con la tecnologia musicale e sperimentare le possibilità che offre. In questo caso l'obiettivo era soprattutto trovare il giusto equilibrio tra bassi, ritmo e voce, senza appesantire il brano con elementi inutili.

Anche il testo segue questa idea. Parla di lasciarsi andare, di non preoccuparsi del giudizio degli altri e di vivere la musica come qualcosa che appartiene a chi la sta ascoltando.

Il titolo, “Bass Command”, riassume tutto: quando parte il basso, è lui a dare gli ordini.

È uno di quei pezzi che non hanno bisogno di essere spiegati troppo. Bisogna ascoltarli, possibilmente con un buon impianto audio e il volume giusto.
